Nonkilling - Perspectives for Nonkilling Societies. An Evening with Professor Glenn Paige (Hawaii), Mairead Maguire (Northern Ireland) and Guests

Is a nonkilling society possible and how can we reach it? This is the basic question of the book "Nonkilling Global Political Science" by Professor Glenn Paige. Since 2009 this book is available in German. On the occasion of the festivities for the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall and on the occasion of the annual meeting of Nobel Peace Laureates, Professor Paige (www.nonkilling.org) and Nobel Peace Laureate Mairead Maguire (www.peacepeople.com) will be in Berlin and will participate in this event on the subject of nonkilling.

Further addresses and/or speeches will be delivered by Professor Ekkehart Krippendorff, and by Petra Kelly's friend Eva Quistorp. Facilitator will be Anis Hamadeh, translator of the book and initiator of the German Center for the Advancement of Nonkilling www.nonkilling.de. He will also report on the recent international seminar in Honolulu.

Also in the program is a 40 minute documentary film with German subtitles on the subject as well as a book-signing hour of the nonkilling book.

The nonkilling project is an international movement based in the academic field, having a bigger impact on the mainstream year by year, with many translations of the book, events and different projects all over the world. You can find more information on the mentioned websites and, of course, at the event itself, to which you are cordially invited. It will at the same time be the start for more activities in Germany.
